Water Damage in Schaumburg Home

SERVPRO of Barrington/North Schaumburg was called in to this water damage at single family residence in Schaumburg, IL by Allstate to replace another restoration company that was not handling the project properly. When we arrived the walls were soaking wet and the other company had only removed the carpet. We received permission from the customer and Allstate to remove affected drywall. The customer planned to do the reconstruction himself and he adjusted the scope of our work accordingly. We removed the majority of the drywall but at the customers request we did not remove the affected drywall behind the water heater, sink, washer, dryer and dry bar. He stated that he would remove the affected drywall as well as apply sealer after the stud walls were dry. In addition to the removal of affected drywall we left drying equipment, monitored said equipment and removed it once the structure was dry.
